Title: Mistaken
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: R
Word Count: 22,500 (2,600 this part)
Warnings: major spoilers for '03/CoS; language; a bit of violence (unimpressive next to canon); adults behaving irresponsibly (including alcohol use); naughty stuff to come
Summary: It is a telling and terrible reflection on Roy's life that the kidnapping is not the worst thing that's happened this week.
Author's Note: A Roy/Ed Gift Exchange fic for viorar-vel-til-loftarasa! This is set in a post-CoS AU where I hand-waved Ed and Al back from our world again, so that Ed could start getting into trouble in Amestris again.

Roy regrets everything.  Roy regrets the entirety of his existence. )

Title: Be Nice, Brother; It's Christmas
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: (a relatively light) PG-13
Word Count: 16,900
Warnings: language, FRIGGING SCHMOOP, more adult implications than last time, LITERALLY DIDN'T FINISH REREADING THIS; FORGIVE ME
Summary: A sequel to Flying Horses: Despite many threats involving coal and minor bodily injury, Christmas turns out almost impossibly well.
Author's Note: a.k.a. the post limit that finally killed me

Roy tries to sketch out a schedule that’s more or less educational for Elysia; and one that’s open-ended and free of obligations so that Ed and/or Al can jump in whenever they wish, without ever feeling compelled. )

Author's Note: MERRY CHRISTMAS AT THE LAST SECOND!

Thank you guys all for putting up with me for another year. You are all the MVPs. ♥

This sucker is supposed to take place relatively shortly after the last one, and the dates are set for 2016. Given that I fudged the timelines so badly in the last one, I'm hoping you guys won't mind terribly if I fudge them again. XD

To the commenter from last time, who asked about whether Ed had a prosthetic in this AU: at the time, because the first fic was about Roy navigating his own feelings, I honestly hadn't even thought about it. Thank you for reminding me that not thinking about it is, in itself, a privilege; and thank you for reminding me that representation matters, no matter how small the corner of the internet where it appears.

Also: much as I love me some Al/Win in the right circumstances, you are going to have to pry aroace!Al out of my cold, dead hands.

Roy is comparing the sugar content of the store brand knockoff of the no-marshmallows-but-enough-colors-to-still-be-fun cereal with the certified version, which costs almost twenty percent more. )

Title: Miscellanea
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: PG
Word Count: 3,000
Warnings: intermittent language; post-Conqueror of Shamballa AU; IT'S A BALL OF FLUFF
Summary: Good things arrive, unheralded, in perfectly normal-sized packages.
Author's Note: The incredibly sweet Gettibucket was having a crappy week, so I was like "What does Getti like??", and my first thought was, "CoS! And Ed suffering! And… winter? And… schmoop?" The latter two might've been me, but… I tried. :') Hope it makes you smile, friend. ♥♥♥ This time of year can be really hard, guys. If it is for you right now, please hang in there as best you can. ♥

The knock at the door makes Roy startle, and then it makes him pause.  He isn’t expecting anyone. )

Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 14,300
Warnings: intermittent language; post-BH AU; some dark content/gore (though nothing significantly worse than canon)
Summary: It's a well-deserved shame and a cordially-invited tragedy that anything Roy tries to treasure goes down in flames.
Author's Note: ……post limits

Two minutes after eight, the phone rings. )

Summary: It's a well-deserved shame and a cordially-invited tragedy that anything Roy tries to treasure goes down in flames.
Author's Note: Inspired by Jujubee's amazing art – the feeling that it gave me ran away with this fic, which is why I did such a poor job of highlighting the art itself, oops. >__>' All the same: thank you, Jujubee, and ALL of the artists in this fandom, for sharing your beautiful work with us. Even if we forget to say it sometimes, we love and appreciate everything you do. ♥

Roy’s waiting by the phone and listening to the rain.  Is that pathetic? )

Title: Heartbeat
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 47,200 (12,300 this part)
Warnings: language; post-BH AU; emetophobic parties beware; depictions of anxiety and depression (including dark intrusive thoughts); very much unwanted touches
Summary: Ed makes the mistake of waiting on goddamn tenterhooks for something to change – and then, naturally, something does.
Author's Note: The last whining about post limits you'll see until… the next time I post fic. X'D

Miraculously, Roy seems to be significantly less shit at getting out of parking spots than at getting into them. )

Summary: Ed makes the mistake of waiting on goddamn tenterhooks for something to change – and then, naturally, something does.
Author's Note: So! First off, this has a bit of The Kissing in it, so if that is not your jam, cut out before the end. ♥ Second, I started on the next part of this series (which is from Roy's POV for a change!) a little while back, but I sort of wrote myself into a corner, and now I'm working on Loud and Clear, so idk when I will finish it. But there will eventually be more. ♥

Even if the food wasn’t so brain-meltingly, tongue-explodingly, tastebud-tinglingly fucking fantastic, this dinner would still be more than worth however much Roy’s about to pay for it. )

Fandom: Voltron: Legendary Defender
Characters/Pairing: Lance, Hunk, & Pidge with low-key Shiro/Keith and Lance hate!crushin' on the mullet
Rating: PG
Word Count: 5,390
Warnings: pointless modern!AU; Lance is my favorite dweeb in the history of dweebness
Summary: This summer gig could be worse, but only if it made a concerted effort and believed in itself and wished upon a star.
Author's Note: Hello, Voltron fandom; my name is Tierfal, and I like modern!AUs, stupid puns, and sassy space children. :'D

Another day, another dance with the deep-fryer. )

Author's Note: ye olde poste limittes

Victory is short-lived. He knows several people who would have something to say about the phrasing of that if he’d been dumb enough to utter it aloud. )

Summary: Ed makes the mistake of waiting on goddamn tenterhooks for something to change – and then, naturally, something does.
Author's Note: ……post limits. >___>''

If Ed believed in anything, there would be some prayers of gratitude.  Possibly tears.  Although that could be the fat fucking bruise starting to form on his kneecap talking. )

Summary: Ed makes the mistake of waiting on goddamn tenterhooks for something to change – and then, naturally, something does.
Author's Note: This is the chapter where all the bad shit happens. Part of why it's long is because I tried to include a little of the stuff-getting-better part… and then I swear to you, on all that is fluffy and/or holy, that it gets a lot better still after this. ♥

On Thursday night, Al’s sitting on the floor in front of their coffee table at home working on a love letter to Winry. )

[identity profile] tierfal.livejournal.com
Title: Heartbeat
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: PG-13
Word Count: 47,200 (7,300 this part)
Warnings: language; post-BH AU; emetophobic parties beware; depictions of anxiety and depression (including dark intrusive thoughts); very much unwanted touches (see the note)
Summary: Ed makes the mistake of waiting on goddamn tenterhooks for something to change – and then, naturally, something does.
Author's Note: This is part of the demi!Ed series, set after Kindling! Also, LONG NOTE:Abandon hope of impartiality ye who enter here: this fic is a particularly poignant example of my habit of writing to myself, about myself, to a certain extent. I'm not sure if I should call it "bad", as far as the habit goes, because it often seems to resonate with people… And so much of the point of writing, of fanfic, of all of fandom for me is to be out here saying I know you think you're fucked up – and maybe you are, but you're a long way yet from broken, and you're definitely not alone.

Elaborating on the warnings above: particularly in the later chapters, there's a lot of material about depression in this fic (including a bit more suicidal ideation and a variety of somewhat disturbing intrusive thoughts); emetophobic parties should proceed with caution; and there's some very non-consensual physical contact. I didn't warn for that in so many words because I feel like it would implicate Roy because of the pairing, but that isn't the case. And that would make a big difference to me as a reader, so I figured it might change things for a lot of you as well!

As far as the song goes, the album came out back when I still had the energy to do the RP blog thing, and something about the tone of this song really captured the essence of demi!Ed for me – the resignation and the sadness and the emptiness and the loneliness all tangled up together in with an old determination.

P.S. Con fever update: I'm going to be at SacAnime on Saturday the 3rd, and then at YaoiCon the 16th through the 18th!

It’s not like it’s ever a surprise when Hawkeye’s right about something, because she’s Hawkeye, but in this particular case— )

Title: Speechless
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: R
Word Count: 30,000 (10,200 in this piece)
Warnings: something like a post-BH AU; language; blood and drama at turns and also at once; it wouldn't be a Tierfal fic without some bad innuendo; S O U L M A T E S!!
Prompt: "soulmarks on the wrist/arm that Ed lost" for Roy/Ed Week
Summary: Ed's mark is long, long gone, but it's not like he has time to care.
Author's Note: As an apology for how dark this chapter starts and how poorly I edited it, I'm going to tell you a secret: I wrote pierogi into this chapter because I wanted them at the time, and then, completely unbeknownst to me, Mr. Tierfal's mom mailed us some for our six-month anniversary. Use this power wisely.

It’s a dark room—is it even a room? )

Prompt: "soulmarks on the wrist/arm that Ed lost" for Roy/Ed Week
Summary: Ed's mark is long, long gone, but it's not like he has time to care.
Author's Note: The good news is that I finally actually finished this thing. The bad news is that I think a number of you are going to be disappointed with the direction of it given the things you've very kindly mentioned that you were looking forward to in the comments… Sorry! ;__; Also, bit of a blood/gore CW for this chapter (nothing any worse than canon) – stay safe, guys. ♥

Roy’s early.  Of course he is.  The bastard. )

Prompt: "soulmarks on the wrist/arm that Ed lost" for Roy/Ed Week
Summary: Ed's mark is long, long gone, but it's not like he has time to care.
Author's Note: Please note that I have bumped up the rating on this bad boy, because there's probably gonna be some naughty shit at the end. :'D Also, since I sort of… failed to specify, it's an AU. Where things are how I like them. XD

The call comes just after five in the morning. )

Title: Speechless
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: PG-13 R

Warnings: something like a post-BH AU; language; blood and drama at turns and also at once; it wouldn't be a Tierfal fic without some bad innuendo; S O U L M A T E S!!
Prompt: "soulmarks on the wrist/arm that Ed lost" for Roy/Ed Week
Summary: Ed's stupid mark is long, long gone, but it's not like he has time to care.
Author's Note: AS USUAL, I set out to write something quick and punchy and ended up with a 20K crime against fiction and humanity. I'm nearly done, so I will hopefully have and be posting the rest this weekend… -____-'

Ed is not going to rub his arm. )

Title: Coal and Carbon
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed
Rating: PG
Word Count: 1,000
Warnings: S C H M O O P; one of many vaguely post-BH AUs where I don't even bother explaining why things are the way that I like them
Prompt: "intricate machinery" for Roy/Ed Week
Summary: It's the little things in life – or, as luck would have it, in one's bed.
Author's Note: Q. Are you really trying to pass off a poorly-executed extended metaphor as a fanfic? A. WELCOME TO ROY/ED WEEK, MOTHERFUCKERS ……maybe.

Surfacing from sleep and knowing, somewhere in the back of his mind, that he doesn’t have to drag himself out of bed for several hours yet is one of the single simplest and most decadent pleasures of life, as far as Roy is concerned. )

Title: Loud and Clear: The Second Law of Thermodynamics
Fandom: Fullmetal Alchemist
Pairing: Roy/Ed (with Al/Win)
Rating: R
Word Count: 43,250 (11,200 this chapter)
Warnings: language, modern!AU, naughty shit happens at intervals, +10 to cheesy domestic fluff
Summary: Occasions come and go – ordinarily, so do people, but Roy's fast becoming a fixed point with his own damn rules.
Author's Note: Also, I've had a few messages about this on Tumblr, and I totally encourage it: If you need a heads up/a description/some spoilers about what's going to happen in the next few parts to make sure it'll be okay for you to read, LET ME KNOW! I am more than happy to give you the DL on this shit so you can keep yourself safe. ♥ Tumblr is a great place to ask, especially if you have an account and I can answer you privately; otherwise, please leave your email or something when you ask, so I can send you a note and keep the comments spoiler-free. ♥

The familiar hell of a persistent car horn soundbyte roused Ed to the beautiful hour of holy-fucking-shit-no-o’-clock. )
